Bran
Dumped, crippled and unable to walk, outside a Shelter in Greece, Bran was on the verge of being PTS when someone tried him on cod liver oil and rest, and he recovered enough to limp around. An elderly British tourist took pity on him and paid for his Pet Passport and transport but while this was being arranged someone put him on Metacam, and he turned into a boisterous, bossy, uncontrollable Hound - so I was given him . He is an old boy now. He loves to snooze in his soft bed, dreaming of sunnier shores I expect, and is unfailingly grateful for his dinners. He was a constant loving companion to my disabled son who passed away recently. I hope they will be re-united in a happier place.

So a Greek Animal Rescue volunteer in the UK took him in.
He proved to be too much for her so I was given him to see if I could do anything. That was many years ago, and he is an old boy now. He never complains, is always cheerful, despite his ongoing arthritis and wheezing and growing deafness. He loves to snooze in his soft bed, dreaming of sunnier shores I expect, and is unfailingly grateful for his dinners.

Sorry Claire - can you please trim the story to 150 words or less.
