The centre has about 50 horses I think, ranging from cobs and native ponys to ex racehorses and hunters. They are all absolutely gorgeous. I have ridden a few different "safe as houses" ones so far, including a black Fell gelding, a Welsh Sec D x mare and a Coloured cob gelding. Not sure their pics are in among that lot, so here they are

My fave, the lovely Black Mane.

Me on Sammie

My stepson with Piper, the Fell.

And this is Wills on little Pooh Bear, who he rides.

I am going to put in a request to ride one of their Highlands next time

I would love to work in a riding centre, I bet it is great fun (although hard work!)

It is a bit of a trek (but most places are from up here ). It is in Wooler, Northumberland, and takes an hour from door to door, so not too bad. I did look at a couple of places a bit closer but didn't like their staff or horses as much as I like it at the stables where we go.

Lovely horses. The 2nd picture is exactly like my Thoroughbred I lost last year.
You'll be on one of those in no time, jumping 6ft'ers
