Piggies can pine for their mates quite badly, some don't seem overly bothered.

When do you go away? If its for more than a weekend I'd try putting them together sooner, as if he starts to pine they can often refuse to eat and lose weight rapidly which isn't good for a piggy.

We go away for a week. We've been keeping a close eye in Toffee and to be honest, his appetite doesnt appear to have been affected. He is a right little chunk anyway and seems to be coping just fine. He does have company in the run, he's only alone in the hutch. He's very laid back but my other boy is a pain and bosses him around.

I know. They're such sensitive little soles. But I think as long as little fat man has got plenty to keep his jaws occupied plus a daily run with Pootle and the buns, he'll just carry on as usual.

Thanks for the advice.
Sounds like a plan. I'm glad he doesn't seem too bothered at the mo. I just had my boy neutered so he can live with the girlies and to be honest guinea pigs are nothing like rabbits in that way. He just came home and was a bit spaced out for an hour or two and was then back to his normal self. But when I sent my bunny I really thought we were going to lose him, he was in an awful state for a good few days, it was horrible.

Good luck I hope they will pal up together.
