Positive vibes needed please for my little guinea pig girl

One of my little guinea pig girlies Ming Ming is very very ill. I only noticed yesterday that she was not as lively as usual and this morning was hardly moving with very laboured breathing. I made an appointment for the vet straight away and took her in this afternoon.

She could barely hold her head up bless her and when the vet examined her she said she felt a lump and she has a little bald patch on her back that I feel so bad that I never noticed which she said can correspond to them having an ovarian cyst

They are going to keep her in overnight and give her pain meds and fluids but don't think that anything can be done as you cannot operate on them.

My poor little girl is only 2 1/2. I have her sister Lynnie here.

Here she is

One of our vets specialises in exotics and has operated on a lot of guinea pigs, including spaying them to remove ovairian cysts, so it is possible. If that is what your vet suspects and he is not keen on operating it may be an idea to look for a vet that is an exotics specialist.

Hope ming ming feels better soon

That's where we got the name from the Wonderpets. We also have Lynnie her sister.
