10 year old SBT called Blue
Hi All,
I received an e-mail from someone who found out about Blue. He's a 10 year old SBT, His owners want rid of him because they have a new baby (as bad as my Cousins I reckon) and if he's still with them on Monday they'll take him to Battersea DH where he'll be destroyed because of his age.
This is the e-mail I received :
"We are argently looking to re home are staffordshire bullterrier which i will add is breaking our heart as he has been a great companion to my husband and myself for many years,We have just not long had a baby he is 8 weeks old,And finding it very difficult with the dog, as the dog doesn't seem to be settling. We introduced the dog to the baby and tried to include the dog,But when baby cries or your talking to the baby the dog becomes very anxious and continuosly barks and cries when you ask the dog to leave the room he growls,So he is put in a the kitchen behind a baby gate which he carries on barking and jumping at.This happens at all hours'It doesn't help that we live in a two bed massionette so he now has very limited roaming like he use to have. We just feel not just for the baby but also the dog as he is being told off or shut away and dont want him to start resenting the baby.Blue has never in the past shown any aggresion but you just never know and dont want to take the risk.I have contacted kennl club all the numbers they have given we have had no joy but we want to be sure he will go to a good home.

Disgusting I know - particularly when just a little bit of work would mean the dog could stay in his home.
