Thank you, I think two tone might be more applicable now I know she can go in that class.

Sorted

If anyone is unsure at all, don`t worry, our wonderful collators will check with me if they get an entry in which they feel would better in a different class and will be asked to forward any such entries for the entrants to another collator if appropriate

I`m sure there were a couple of dogs from last years whose hairs may still be getting counted to see which they were predominant of for this years show but the new Two Tone class should negate the need to be too precise
Hehehe! I'd love to know Freda's exact percentage of white.. but I think I'll save the counting for a rainy day..

I could always add classes for `Dog With Most Hairs` - that would keep people busy

Last year I entered Jack as grey dog, now you have a two tone class, but he has blocks of black, white and grey , I should have sat down and counted those hairs last years

Yes, last year Blue merles were in Grey and Red Merles were in Tan - this time merle owners can choose between the single colour or the two tone class as merles by their nature are nearer to half and half of colour amount with much in blocks including areas of white.
Our judges will be looking at each dog as an individual, not as compared to the others in the class as there will be such a variety so not comparable to each other. If we get to a point where the membership has enough merlies among us to warrant a Merle group in the future it will definitely be added of course, but for now merlies can be entered in the solid or two two class as per the entrants decision on which is most representative of their dog [ there are anomalies which make hair counting hard anyway like should moulted hairs be counted, Winter or Summer coat, before or after grooming, and as for things like the phone ringing and having to start the count again, well its a nightmare ]

Unlike current agility rules, I like to increase entry options rather than take them away

They can go in the class of strongest colour predominance for this year
For next year I might well do a poll to see what numbers of potential entrants we have at the time including a tri-colour option, and if there are enough, I`d be happy to add that to next years coat colour schedule just as Two Tone and Pirate Face have been added to this one because last years queries over eligibility showed there was a need for those options so when the Show sec asked herself to include them, in they went [ oh the power ]
