Many thanks for being asked to judge this class and to my steward for doing such an excellent job getting the exhibits so efficiently in the ring.
After judging the AV pastoral class last year I was looking forward to this time getting my hands on some of the working groups.
Thank you all for your entries

1st Boxer
Loved this girl. So pleasing to the eye and well balanced. Head of good muzzle/skull proportions complements her overall shape. Dark eye showing that intelligent and alert expression. Good length of neck into strong shoulders. Correct length of upper arm, not overdone with elbows tight into her body. Undercarriage tight with good short tuck up, compact body with nice covering on the ribs, topline sloping into well-muscled hindquarters, high set on of tail. Feet tight and well arched. Lovely condition with tight fitting coat.

2nd Dobermann
This boy is in gleaming condition. Another well balanced dog.
Head in proportion to body. Wedged shape with good length of muzzle, gently sloping stop with clean lines running in parallel to top of head. Nice dark eye.
Front and rear construction well balanced with good turn of stifle Body in correct proportions with gentle sloping topline. As with first place, feet tight and correctly arched.
Coat short and smooth with clean rich rust markings to head, chest and legs.

3rd Alaskan Malamute
Lovely broad head. Ears set wide, triangular with correct rounding. Strong neck, gently arched into powerful, gently sloping shoulders, . Front well boned and straight into short slightly angled pasterns. Deep chest fronting a compact body. Topline gently sloping to rear.
Rear having moderate angulation of stifle leading to well let down hocks. Correct set of tail, curling up and over back, Dark coat with correct covering of white areas
Oh yes and a fantastic choice in name too LOL

4thAlaskan Malamute
Another lovely example of the breed. Good head proportions with lovely white markings to face and body. Eyes of nice shape and colouring. Good length of neck into strong shoulders, plenty of chest space. Body compact and nicely in proportion. Tail well held in correct carriage.
Feet tight and well arched . Well covered and in beautiful condition. A credit to their owner.

5th Rotti
This little girl demanded my attention. A slip at 10 months old but so much to like. Nice to see a feminine bitch in this breed when so many have gone down the masculine route. Alert and relaxed expression.
Head of good proportion with well boned cheek, nice length of muzzle leading to well defined stop. Good length of neck, slightly arched onto well laid shoulders.
Nice body shape for age, chest slightly shallow but I’ m sure this is down to lack of maturity on this slow maturing breed. Nice length of back
Rear construction nicely angulated for one so young. Rear hocks showing good strength.
Feet tight and correct shape. Good black marking to her toes. Looking forward to seeing her when she matures.

6th – Rotti
Hard one to judge due to the angle of the photo but there was enough to like about this one to award a place.
In gleaming condition and at one and a half still so much more to come.
Head with round skull leading to powerful rounded neck set onto strong lay of shoulder. Well boned legs with strong sloping pasterns. Good length of body with top line correctly leading to a slightly sloping croup. Well sprung ribcage with correct covering. Good set of tail. Rear construction is well muscled and solid again with well boned strong hocks. Would love to see in the flesh.
