Junior classes poll

As regulars know,
the Junior classes in the 2007 Show stipulated
that the faces of youngsters be masked to
protect their identity.

However, for the last couple of classes
this rule was lifted to allow parents / guardians
to decide for themselves if they wished to
enter photo`s which showed faces,
all of whom took up the opportunity.

Should the vote be to allow unmasked faces,
entrants will be allowed of course to send entries
via another member and using a nickname
for the child, [ for awards purposes ],
rather than real name if they so choose.

Before commencing any 2008 Junior classes,
I would appreciate the input of those likely to enter
their young `uns as to how you would like them done
rather than an arbitrary decision made by the Show Sec.

So, the choices are in the poll
and the majority vote is how we will proceed
for this years Show.

I dont have children sadly , But when i was collating the junior cuddlers thread I have to admit i thought it was lovely to see the faces of the doggies companions , So I have voted for the third option, And think it should be up to the parent or gaurdian as to wether or not the childrens faces are shown xxdk

Thanks for the input guys, keep it coming

I will stress that should the final result be to allow unmasked faces at parent / guardian discretion, anyone who would prefer to mask absolutely would be allowed do so of course, and judges will be briefed to not let it influence their choices - its the dogs being judged after all, and for costume classes, whether masked or not, its the overall picture which would be judged for creativeness of a costume in conjunction with the dogs interaction, [ ie Halloween Horrors ].
No one should be penalised for preferring their youngsters face to be masked as a perfectly reasonable and understandable precaution so no one need worry in that regard.

Besides, there will hopefully be lots more votes to come in so nothing is certain as to which way it will go this early on

I have voted for masked faces.

My reasons are that even if the child's face is shown with good intent, you never know what nonce is also looking on the site.

We as adults should feel responsible for all children on this site, not just our own.
