The Finals Countdown Continues with a surprise presentation ceremony !

The Show Sec has been able to avoid
this most difficult job called Judging - until now !

I decided at the start of the Show that I would present some awards myself,
but deciding on the theme was not so straightforward.
There have been so many classes, and the Groups -
but we have`nt had

"Dog The Judge Would Most Like To Take Home"

Now, there are many dogs which I`m known
to wish I could steal,
and the lucky owners of those dogs know
they need to keep their beauties out of my clutches

So, I decided I would present awards to
the dogs which I secretly covet,
the dogs I love to see photo`s of
but don`t always have time to comment on them,
so when the dogs receiving these awards were
entered in various classes,
I knew it would give me the perfect opportunity
to pick them out from the line ups

So, without further ado,
these are the dogs which the owners did`nt know
had a secret admirer

In First place,
a rather poignant award because this dog
sadly made his way to the Bridge very recently.
He secured his award from the first class he was
entered in, so while posthumous now,
he remained in First Place throughout
as a dog who stood out to me as one I
dearly wish I could have had the privilege to have known

In Second place,
a beautiful girl who captured my heart.
She has such a gentle beauty about her,
I would love to sit quietly relaxing
in a chair by an open fire, with her head on my knee

In Third place,
another stunning girl, absolutely exquisite,
and I`m not fooled by her delicate ladylike appearance,
she`s a proper Collie through and through !

In Fourth place,
I just could`nt split these two,
they have such different qualities which drew me to them,

This grand senior lady may not be
a flighty youngster, but she still has a
twinkle in her eye which I know she could use
to wrap me around her paw !

And a gorgeous girl whose cheeky eyes
just can`t be ignored !

In Fifth place,
A lovely looking girl who has quietly caught
my attention every time she has
appeared in the Show

And in Sixth place,
Noble, handsome, alert, a real eye catcher

So there we have it,
the secretly coveted dogs whose owners
now know to keep them out of my reach
lest I try to snaffle them along with the
others on my not so secret wish list

Well Patch that rather took me by surprise a very nice surprise though and you have summed Flirt up to a tea she most definitely is a proper collie even if she knows how to milk those classic chocolate box photo opportunities.
However I do find that I couldnt agree with you more in your choice for first place such a regal gentle looking collie boy.
Thank you Patch and everyone else for the hard work involved in running this.

ooh, Patch, you have made me so happy & so sad all in one go.

He was one in a million, though I often thought this was a closely guarded secret and I'm chuffed to bits that his specialness has been honoured in this way.

Thank you so much.

Well done to all and thank you so much Patch - what a tough job you had doing this.

You are quite right that Sacha still has a twinkle and the ability to get whatever she wants when she wants - a very special old lady. Gosh that picture makes her look so young!

She will be 13 next month and in this weather is feeling all her years - can't wait for Spring to come for her.

Thanks you and well done to everyone again!
