Well no if you read the posts on here and on my other post then you will understand

There is no story and all posts basically say the same thing

Trainee vet tested her and said it was parvo
It didnt seem right as she was fine one minute and then very lathargic the next so i tested her myself
The test for parvo came back negative
My head vet is now on her case
we dont know what is wrong with her as all tests came back negative
When we thought she did have parvo i was at the surgey and OH took meg out without my knowing

I have experience on both sides.

I once had a German Shepherd who was shot by a farmer for chasing his sheep.

My OH is an employed shepherd and his father is a farmer. Farmers can, and will, shoot dogs that are worrying their livestock. It is a legal right.

Just recently two dogs have been shot in Yorkshire by a farming neighbour of my OH's father for worrying sheep.

Please take this very seriously and do not allow your dog off lead around livestock.

This may be a controversial reply, not to you DK, but the whole concept of the farmer shooting a dog.

I appreciate that the sheep are the farmers livelihood. However, if my Benson somehow escaped, and went running into a field of sheep, and was shot before I could get him back...I don't think I could contain myself, the farmer may have to shoot me!

I know they are allowed to do it, but I get angry just thinking about it.

I can understand what your saying hammer, but they would simply say it is up to you to keep your dog under control.
I can't think of anything worse to see your dog shot/killed in front of your eyes.
