Have to admit, that was my first thought also
Megs_mummy, has`nt the vet where you work explained to you about how high risk a disease it is and that just being in contact with it spreads it and lets it stay in the ground to infect other dogs ? [ your profile has your occupation as being a vet yourself so I`m a little confused there anyway ]

Will put some info on Ana`s thread so as not to detract from this one, [ yes everyone is correct, farmers can legally shoot off-lead dogs which are anywhere near their sheep even if they are not actually worrying them ].

Any dog 'worrying' sheep here will be shot on the spot.

When Fingal was little he nailed a ewe in thecorner of the field right outside the shepherds house. Fortunately he was away and we'd actually bought Fingal from the landowner.

Needed a lot of apologies and guarantees on my part.

I have tested her myself today an it came back negative. My head vet has now taken over her case.

Megs mum- Could you clarify for everyone what it is you do, it might get rid of some of the confussion or mis understanding people seems to have.

From my understanding your a vet nurse, is that correct?
Ana testing for parvo, what was the chain of events? Maybe and this is my take on it, another member of staff said it wasn't parvo, then you tested her and it was confirmed to be parvo, but your oh took meg out, before you had the chance to stop him?
Now i'm getting confussed!
