Class 4 Hound AV is now open, details here !

Welcome to the Class for

Hound AV

Your Judge for this class is Dogsey member Rachelsetters

Entry to this class is open to all breeds of Hounds owned by any Dogsey members, whether your dog is Pedigree paper`ed, or not, working or not, registered or not, all dogs within the KC breeds list under Hound Group can be entered in this class.

For anyone not familiar with showing at all, AV means Any Variety of dog within a Group [ Gundog, Terrier, Hound etc ].

Details of relevant eligible Hound breeds and their size categories are here :

http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/item/1

If your dog is smaller or larger than `standard` for his or her breed, please still enter the KC listed size category, as entries are by photo so the Judge can`t measure them anyway

Dogs entered as Small and Medium will be posted HERE

Dogs entered as Large and Extra Large will be posted HERE

Entries for this class should be of dogs over the age of 6 months and photographed in a Show pose or as near as you can get.
[ There will be puppy classes later in the show ].

`Show Pose` can be free standing or not, excellent examples of what to aim for are

HERE

and

HERE

Please don`t include any identifying faces of handler -

as gorgeous as you owners are, its your dogs we want to see

You may need a friend or family member to take the pic for you [ unless free standing ] or you can have someone else stand the dog while you take the pic, so long as the photographer is not a professional as per the general rules of entry here

Virtual Companion Show FAQ

Don`t worry if your dog does`nt stand `just so`, the main thing is to enter a nice clear side-on pic of the dog standing up and it does`nt matter if its indoors or outside, but preferably not on a formal `showing table`

In this particular class :

You can enter more than one dog, but only one photo per dog.

----------------------------

Please send your entries for this class via pm to Zoeybeau1

Please put the name of the class as the title on your pm and include if Small, Medium, Large or Extra Large. This will be noted above your entry photo for you.

In the message body along with the photo you are submitting, please state :

1] The dogs breed
2] Dogs Age [ as near as possible ] at the time the photo was taken
3 ] Dogs name
4] Confirm size catagory

Do not put anything else in the pm.

Do not post your own entries on the threads, it will be done for you by Zoeybeau1 as soon as she receives your entries.

The Judge will shortlist one dog from each size catagory
plus two of her choice of any size.

*If there are no entrants in one or more size catagory the Judge will then choose even numbers between the sizes represented.

The dogs shortlisted will then be placed from First to Sixth place.

Closing date for entries for this class will be 24/08/07

Good luck to all, especially to our Judge for this class

Addition to the entry rules which will apply to all classes :

If you are likely to have no computer access during the time a class your dog would be eligible for will be open, you can ask another member to forward your entry on your behalf.
This will hopefully ensure no one misses out due to holidays, PC problems, work etc

In all cases, when asking someone to forward an entry for you please ensure you include the relevant details of :

Dogs name,
Dogs Age [ or nearest known when the photo was taken ],
Dogs Breed or mix,
For a Pedigree class, include the size category of your dogs breed as per the UK KC classifications.

*Please do not send by proxy entries to the Show Sec, she is not privy to any entry details until after the judges have informed her that the placings have been decided

When asking someone to send in an entry on your behalf should the need arise, please do not send everything straightaway in case that person has been asked to Judge - check first before sending your entry with all the relevant details so that no Judge will feel unintentionally compromised.

If the person you ask happens to be approached to be a collator for your class he or she can simply hold on to your entry until the class opens as usual.

Thanks for reading :smt001
