Class Three - Best Rescue - the winners !

I am pleased to announce that the time has come for our Judge Krusewalker to present the winners for this class

Best Rescue

You can see all the entrants and read their stories here :

Best Rescue entry thread

This class is, I believe, the toughest of all classes at any show of any kind for a Judge to decide placings for, its a brave soul who is willing to take on such an appointment !
I`m sure we all share in offering our gratitude to Krusewalker for doing the honours for us

Grateful thanks also to our Collators for this class, Mahooli, and Zoeybeau1 who did such a good job

As soon as our Judge is ready, he will make his way to the centre of the Show ring to present the awards

Firstly, i would like to offer a big thanx to everyone who took part.
I was heartening to hear of so many doglets who found kindness after bad start humans.
It took some deliberating, but i think everyone, no matter if they are a winner or not, should just pat themselves on their backs just for making the effort...and all of you should give all your dogs a steak pie each, for they made an effort too!
I mean, i did hear mutterings throughout the land:
"mum, do we really have to pose for yet another photo"

It was certainly a nice experience for me..

cheers

martin

In time honoured tradition, I wont be starting at the last place!

So, here's the winner!

What can I say....just a fantastic photo. such a cheeky chappie....the black and white touch made the photo all the more.

Another fantastic shot. I was taken by the darkness of the water bringing out the glow of the dog. Also, quite an achievement to turn around such a socially maladjusted Akita X.

The face of attitude....i luvvit!

Very distingiushed!
"She didnt have a hard start in life, just a very boring one"
We do get physical cruelty cases in rescue, but thankfully, these are an aberration. But i felt this comment described perfectly the general malaise in modern dog ownership, the one which, unfortunately, fills rescues: mental neglect.

Beautiful smile. Flowers suit her!

I just like this - a kind of symmetry...dog, photo, and profile....short and very sweet.
Nice story of a rescue still in progress.

Phew, and that was some bus ride!
