Hi Patch,

You have been so busy with this show. I don't envy you the job of a show secretary of an ongoing virtual show.

Our dog is looking through his various costumes and deciding which he is going to wear. (I daresay he'll be looking through yellow pages for make up and photographer too!!)

Do you want hander in the photo in costume too? Or is that best double act - another class? I also wondered if you are going to do best lookalike and we should avoid our dog dressing up a a celeb look alike ????? !!!

It keeps me busy but I`m loving it, its a real honour to be doing the job and so rewarding seeing entries coming in and people pulling together - only Dogsey could pull off a show like this, its all down to team work and enthusiasm, I`m thoroughly enjoying doing my bit as part of the team

He`ll look brilliant whatever he decides on, I`ll looking forward to seeing what costumes Dogsey doglets come up with, it should be a really fun line-up

That will be another class with a variation on the idea - details soon

Funny you should say that and a good opportunity for some forward notice actually - there will be a class in a few weeks for Dog and Celebrity Lookalike so people will need to find a celebrity pic to team up with their dog - that will bring some interesting comparisons I`m sure :smt005
There will also be a class for dog most like the owner

Dogs eligible for Utility AV are as per the UK KC list here :

The next two classes which will be :

Working Group AV

and

Best Veteran

******************

Working group AV

will be show posed as per the previous AV classes. As there is again a very un-even split of number of breeds in the size catagories as per the UK KC breed list for the group, entries will be split into boys and girls with the top three from each gender making the six placed dogs.

All eligible breeds for this class are shown here :

http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/item/2

******************

Best Veteran

will be for dogs of 8 years and above, and as befitting dogs of senior age can be shown how ever they are comfortable when photographed
The reason for setting the age starting at 8 years minimum is that for some breeds this is when they are considered elder statesdogs

Judging for Best Veteran will be by age split of dogs between eight and 11 years young, and dogs over 11 years and one day young, with the top three choices being placed from 1st to 6th

Advance notice for the next five forthcoming classes

Pastoral AV
A Show Posed class

Best Puppy Pedigree AV
[ puppies under 6 months of age ]
Not a formal `show pose` required but standing side-on-ish will be good enough
To be eligible for this class, photos need to be of your dog under 6 months of age at the time the photo was taken, regardless of your dogs age now :smt001
Un-recognised but established breeds may be entered in this class

There will be a separate class for crossbreed pups under 6 months of age :smt001

Able Disabled

A class for dogs with a disability - the title indicating that a disability does not mean inability to enjoy a happy normal life

Our first Action shot class
Most Enthusiatic Toy Play

A class for dogs photographed when really ragging a toy or running to owner with a toy that was thrown [ handlers faces must not be shown so will need to be cropped or masked ]

Best Head AV

A class showing nice close-up head shots, this class is open to all breeds and mixes over 6 months of age

**********************
These classes will all open in quick succession, the first commencing approximately one week from the date of this post - please keep checking in for entry booths appearing throughout the Virtual Showground
