Hound AV Virtual Class, advance entry details

*Tannoy announcement*

Advance details for the next Dogsey Virtual Companion Show class, which will open when the Best Rescue class closes :smt001

Entry to this class [ Hound AV ], is open to all breeds of Hounds, whether Pedigree paper`ed, or not, working or not, registered or not, and no matter where in the world you live, all dogs within the UK KC breeds list under the Hound Group can be entered in this class.

Pedigree AV groups will be initially split by up to three catagories, Small, Medium and Large, [ when relevant ], as per the KC breed definitions.
*Large and Extra Large will count as one catagory for this class.

For anyone not familiar with showing at all, AV means Any Variety of dog within a Group [ Gundog, Terrier, Hound etc ].

Details of relevant eligible Hound breeds and their size categories are here :

http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/item/1

If your dog is smaller or larger than `standard` for his or her breed, please still enter the KC listed size category, as entries are by photo so the Judge can`t measure them anyway

The reason for early notice of this class is that entries should be of dogs in a `Show` pose.

People who already formally Show may have suitable pictures but for those who don`t you have two weeks before the class commences plus the time the class is open to get the camera out, and for people who have never tried formally posing their dogs to have a go at it

You may need a friend or family member to take the pic for you [ unless free standing ] or you can have someone else stand the dog while you take the pic, so long as the photographer is not a professional as per the general rules of entry here

Virtual Companion Show FAQ
If you have any questions about this class, please post them on the FAQ thread.

`Show Pose` can be free standing or not, but don`t include any identifying faces of handler - as gorgeous as you owners are, its your dogs we want to see

Excellent examples of what to aim for are here in the entry threads for the class below :
Gundog AV Large and Gundog AV Medium

Don`t worry if your dog does`nt stand `just so`, the main thing is to enter a nice clear side-on pic of the dog standing up and it does`nt matter if its indoors or outside, but preferably not on a formal `showing table`

Details of who to send your entries to will be released nearer the time but as we are looking for a standard-ish `pose` for this class you are getting lots of time to work with as will all other relevant classes of this type :smt001

In the meantime, the Best Rescue class is open until 14/08/07

The Show Management hope you are enjoying the classes, we would love to see you enter as many as your dogs are eligible for, and whether you are placed or not we know Dogsey members have the loveliest dogs anywhere so please do show them off at every opportunity during the Show
