I have decided on the First Class to start off our Companion Show
Soooo, I am looking for the first volunteer to whom entries will be sent so that the volunteer can post them in a thread which I`ll prepare.

The volunteers job entails :

Making sure the pics are appropriate for the catogory [ pm me any queried pics ]

To keep a note of who entered which pic so that when the Judge has awarded places the volunteer can send me the details of the winners so that I can put their names to their placed virtual rosettes.

Posting the pics on the designated thread, one pic per post, so the Judge can use the post number as reference for the placings.

The volunteer can not enter the specific class they are collating the entries for

The volunteer must not divulge dog or owner names [ not even to me nor the Judge ] until the Judge [ to be confirmed ], has informed me that the places have been chosen and a post is made on the Class`s thread by myself AND the Judge to confirm that the results will be announced. At that time I need the details for the Rosies asap.

The volunteer needs to make sure they keep some pm space available for entries, don`t delete them to make more room until after noting the entrant details

The volunteer must not enter into conversation about any entry with the entrant unless an entrants pic has been missed and they query it [ if their pic does`nt appear on the class thread ], in which case just ask for it to be resubmitted.

Clear guidelines will be posted for the entrants so all will know not to make things difficult for the volunteer

------------------------------------

Please think carefully if you are happy and willing to do the above for any particular class, I will be asking for a new volunteer when preparing for each class so that no one person gets lumbered with the same job, this needs real teamwork for it to be an ongoing success

If there is more than one volunteer each time [ I hope ], I will put names in a hat so to speak and the name pulled out gets the job for that occasion :smt001

The first Class to open the Virtual Companion Show will be a Novelty class, so open to all breeds and mixes, any size of dog, and the class is for....

*drumroll*

"Grubbiest Dog"

Given recent weather there should be lots of suitable entries for this one lol

If you don`t have a pic to enter and would like to volunteer as collator for this class please post asap There will be opportunities to enter lots of other classes for anyone not eligible for or does`nt fancy entering whichever class is running at any one time

The class won`t formally open for entry until Judge and volunteer collator are confirmed.
The winner of each Class will be entered in the Grand Final in due course.

Lets get this party started :smt026

I was wondering - as one does getting the dog ready for the show in a few hours time.... If the Dogsey Companion Show should ahve a virtual feel some weeks.

e.g
Dog the judge would most like on their screensaver
Best dog in an avatar picture

Also a new one
Dog whose best friend is a cat (as opposed to child's best fried) - (my son's idea as he thinks trying to photograph both would be a real laugh and a class you don't get at the shows)
