lawn

anybody got any tips on laying a lawn???? im going to atempt to do it on my own,turf is arriving in about an hour,so any advice before then would be great

Apart from making sure all is level and no big stones the only other tip I can give you is to overlap each join then cut through both pieces to make sure of a perfect fit. Hope that makes sense, hard to explain really...

russ is at work and wont be finished till late,so was kinda hoping to get it laid before he got home,it cant be that hard surly lol,going to have a go.thanks for the tip ian will try and do that.

Provided you do the prep properly it's easy enough... Like most things really. You'll do fine.

Oooh, a new lawn! How lovely I'm sure you'll do a great job, but try to keep yourself and the dogs off it for a few weeks afterwards - until the plants take root in the soil you've prepared the surface is pretty delicate.

all done ,i have a nice new lawn,it looks fantastic.i however i am covered in muck sore back and sholders lol but chuffed to bits with the results.
going to relax and open a bottle of wine now.
