Garden update :)

Things are getting busy

Wood arrived today to make secure the 2 thirds dismantled shed!!

We've decided not to render the brick but instead go for my favourite architecture style - Long Island style

So we are placing wood panels that overlap horizontally, and this will be painted cream.

They are coming around on Sunday to begin the works - really excited.

If you can imagine this picture will have horizontal wood slats on the back of the wall instead of it being rendered....

Can't wait

Let's hope so guys I've yet to see a builder do anything properly in my neck of the woods it would be nice to have something finished well.

Fingerscrossed.

Hope the bulider does a good job Ingrid, but it does seem harder to find a decent one now, my dad actually owns his own buliding company and is currently building about 20 houses where we live, one of which is our house that we live in now, so we have no trouble finding a builder. And its great to live in a house you built yourself, as we planned the layout etc.

Hiya Ingrid

Covering the wall with timber is a good idea and if you use Cedar planks-the smell it gives off is wonderful!

Thanks Nat, you are really lucky having your Dad as a builder for sure!!! The good ones are far and few between. But let's hope, you never know.

Steve, that's a brilliant idea, if only we had thought of this to begin with, the wood has already arrived Maybe we can get cedar decking or something - decking is not being done this time round.
