White Beam Tree

http://www.mailordertrees.co.uk/Sorbus_aria_'Lutescens'_(Whitebeam_Tree).htm

Just bought myself one of these, I fell in love with one when driving past someones garden this morning!! However, I am going to be sad when it matures and the leaves turn darker!! It is the colour of the leave that attracted me to it in the first place!!!!

They are lovely trees.

We have one in our back garden which we planted (my dad bought it for us) when Karen lost a baby a few years back.

It must me twenty feet tall now. Over the last few weeks the buds have started to turn into those fab leaves and they're still that fantastic vibrant silvery white electric lime green.

I'll dig out a piccy for you if you like....

Here you go then - the leaves only came out again about two weeks ago. In another few weeks they will be huge and no branches will be visible.

Thanks for that Phil, gorgeous. I am worried about mine though. It is tall but with only four straight branches and not much foliage, I hope it bushes out like yours? Will get a pic on asap.
