Good grief. Was she ill or just a hoarder and lazy ?
Whatever I wouldn't want the task of cleaning that up.

Can't believe anyone could live in those conditions!

Having said that, I will remind myself of that picture next time my back is really bad and I'm trying to force myself to do housework. Must not let things slide... or that might happen (other half has OCD tendencies and is a hoarder) and I'm damn sure I don't want it happening here.

That put me in mind of when (years back) I was a provident agent, a house I used to call at had every room like that, you would come out with stuff stuck to your shoes.
They had 3 dogs living there and a very elderly Mom and were under Social Services.

every wall was papered with newspaper cuttings....................... and she paid as regular as clockwork.

Horrendous, can't believe how some people live. I feel sorry for the landlord, it must be heartbreaking when someone does this to your property.

They should have named her so her current landlord can see what he'll be left with when she leaves his property lol

Bloody hell, and I thought my house was messy!

It just makes you wonder how someone can live like that! She must be a hoarder or have some mental health issues to have let it get to that stage

The people who had my flat before me were pretty bad. They left a flea infestation in their wake and grime everywhere. The place had to be fumigated twice before I was even allowed to go and view it. The landlord even had to replace the carpets which had been new when the tenants had moved in 6 months ago as they were just caked in dirt. And the place had this weird smell.. it never went for the whole 6 months I was living there..

You just can't imagine it can you?

One very ironic thing though, on the second photo, there's an iron on the windowsill in the kitchen. I wonder if it was ever used

Well spotted, I didn't notice that, no never used would be my guess

I liked the comment from the cleaning company director that this was a nice house in a nice area, just shows you never know what's going on behind closed doors
