Help!!! Need ideas for son's cookery class...

Ok, my son has cookery next wednesday and as usual has to choose what to make.

They all have to pick one of the selected countries and pick a dish from that country to cook... and what did he get? Israel.

He wants to do hummus, but thats Greek, so any ideas that could be cooked in a lesson by a 14 year old? My mind is a blank.

(Why couldn't he get Italy )

No, no, NO! Hummous is NOT Greek!!!! Middle Eastern - yes! But not Greek.

Sounds like your son's had a great idea with the hummous, and because it's so quick to do, he could really make it look fancy by dressing it up on a bed of lettuce leaves arranged nicely, some olive oil drizzled over the top, and maybe even some sliced black olives scattered over the top! And he can spread the word that hummous isn't Greek!
