My Pond

No snow but some pretty impressive ice.

The water fall and the fountain are just keeping a couple of areas open and allowing oxygen into the water.

Partly. We have netting over the pond so that the seagulls don't eat the fish. So the ice has formed across the netting were the fountain falls on it.

ah, i looked a little closer and i can see the netting. still very impressive and it's amazing to see just how cold it must be as despite the moving water it's frozen like that! it's a lovely picture. i always think ice is quite a remarkable thing!

Very pretty - I'm glad there is still some unfrozen bits for the fish though

We keep a close eye on it and melt a hole when ever necessary.
Luckily the running water keeps it free at each end so the the fish and frogs can get air and the birds have somewhere to drink and even have a bath
