Cleaning rust?

Does anyone have any tips to clean up rust?
My BBQ had a cover on it, but it blew off, and now the grill part has gone all rusy
Are there any household products that are good at getting rid of rust?

Thanks

Coca-cola [fizzy drink - not the diet kind] is supposed to be good for removing rust! You soak the item in the cola overnight and then clean it as normal. Ive not tried it myself but know of folk who have had good results.

There are a few chemical products you can use on is called CLR (calcium, lime and rust) that is good and in safe once the item is washed, or wiped off, you can get brushes that can scrub off a lot of the rust.
Sounds like BBQ's are on the way

You can get something called Bar Keepers Friend, its a powder, and brilliant for cleaning oven tray etc....
