Sunflowers

I have grown lots of sunflowers this year, and I'm not sure how to get the seeds from them - do I wait till they've died, then take the head off the flower, dry it out, then get the seeds?

Most of them are still in bloom, and still growing! I will get a picture later - it's massive!

Wait until its finished flowering and then dry it out in a warm place for a few weeks. I usually dry my seeds out in the porch. Be careful though as they can often get mouldy.

Hope that helps.

I just snip the heads off Heather once dead, bring em' inside to dry out for 2-3 days then once dry-gently rub the heads and the seeds ping out!

Store them in a paper envelope which allows air to circulate around them until next year!
