Making my first ever pavlova today......

wish me luck! It's in the oven now and as soon as I turn the oven off I'll be off to get the fruit and cream.

Never made one before as I usually make instant meringues in the microwave..... must hunt out that recipe!

Lol evil woman!

Well we were wetting ourselves watching the microwave ones puff up. They start the size of marbles and end up huge!

I need some baking parchment really and to adjust the times as they are very experimental!
Some were so big they grew together.....

and some just caught in the middle. But will get some plain chocolate to dip the edges in and sandwich them with cream.

But here is the pavlova so far......cooling in the oven....

Yes I am quite impressed so far (thank you Delia ).

OH wants raspberries because of course I'll win the lottery tonight, so I think frozen ones will have to surfice.... with plenty of cream he won't notice
Plus I can't make it too nice or he'll want them more often!

Perhaps we can make food delicious, but just 'doctor' their portions!
*thinks maybe some vinegar on his share*
