Steve Irwin 'the croc hunter' dies

On this mornings news.....Steve irwin, the croc hunter, died in an accident-apparentlly struck by a sting ray barb whilst diving, it fatally piecered his chest n heart....paramedics arrived and he was pronounced dead at the scene soon after. Just 44 years old....but a man who, very much so, died with his boots on.

How sad, but, in a sad way so fitting that he died doing what he loves. Very young though and his poor young family.

I am so saddened. I have been amazed watching Steve Irwin for years and feel extremely sad by this. It is such a loss to the world of conservation. How sad for his young family. RIP Steve

I didn't necessarily agree with his "hands on" methods..

But - I LOVED the guy!! Loved watching him, and he did WONDERS to raise the profiles of some endangered species, and brought the plights of these animals to millions.

I'm pretty sure he has inspired many old and young alike to follow in his footsteps - and that must be a great thing!!

RIP Steve

He will be saddly missed and a big loss to the world of conservation and television, but more especially to his wife and young family, it is so very sad.
