Because I live alone and work 60hrs a week, I haven't owned a dog since I gave away Buffy, my ridgeback cross. She was the sweetest dog I've ever known, and I've known many. I adopted her at 2 and lost her at 5. She adored me. She had a very smiley face, and a very athletic body. To exercise her with a tennis ball required a racquet as well, for about 30 minutes. I think she was crossed with pit bull or similar. I will post photo of her soon, and hopefull also of Jessie, my GS, whom I also adopted at about 2, but whom I had until she was put down at 10. Jess was kicked around and abused as a pup, so as a result she was skittish, but I was proud that I was able to resocialise her to a large extent. Anyway, at present, the only dog in my life is my girlfriend's rotty called Cat, who has such a sweet childish nature, and with whom I get along beautifully. However, when I move in with them soon, I'll be keen to get one or two more dogs I can build relationships with from pup stage. I love so many breeds, it's hard to decide what, but at the moment I'm leaning towards black GS and ridgeback x bullmastiff. Wow, I think that's enough for now!
