Dogsey

Well I thought I would join here as my GF Angelmist is always waffling to someone somewhere, so I got her to make me a profile, which is why I am now here. As for the user name? well I am a big fan of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels and my particular favourite is "Rreaperman" and I have a tattoo on my arm inspired by it. Dog wise over the years I have owned four myself and have always seamed to own one of the working breeds of some description, my current outlaw being a bonkers Weim who will be 12-months old in July. I live in a leafy suburb of Stockport bordering both the town and Manchester, and despite the inner-suburban sprall, I have access to spectacular walks through picturesque country parks (yes Mancunians and Stopfordians know what the "countryside" actually is). My plan for Salem, yes ok cue puns about the name, was/is to train him to be a full blown working gun dog, problem with that so far is that my dad had a major debilitating stroke last year just before I got him and plans to move to a new house were put on hold to stick around and help out. Like most people who find themselves in that sort of situation it is the dog that has suffered through no fault of his own, but having said that he is still reasonably trained and has quite a few commands and a superb distance recall all ready in his repertoire.
