Several of you have said turkey crown... Usually I can figure out what you all keep saying by context... but that's not happening this time...

What is a Turkey Crown?

Lol it is just the breast of the turkey with the bones etc taken away.
I have always found them a bit dry but that might just be me.

It is the breast without the legs and stuff.

Handy for small families and/or for people who do not like dark meat.

The ones I have every from M & S every year are delish, stuffed, moist, flavoursome; not cheap but you can eat all of it.

Roast and mashed tatties; carrots, sprouts; two types of stuffing; chestnut and sage and onion; cranberry and port sauce; bread sauce; gravy, divine..................... all washed down with some Oudinot Vintage Champagne.

The last 2 years, we've had turkey that we've reared and slaughtered ourselves; however this year we're having a rest from turkey and I'm making individual beef wellingtons instead!

well we are the odd ones out this year by the sounds of things, we are small numbers this year only 10 of us for xmas day = (usually 25!!!) so me and my mum who usually have to do cooking decided to take a lovely day off and we are ordering a Duck banquet from the Chinese Restaurant, !!!! perfect LOL None of us like turkey that much so no one really going to miss it, and we have a big roast dinner the following week for new years as its my Nonnas birthday on Hogmanay !!

We are having Chicken with all the trimmings as we are not keen on Turkey, followed by christmas pud with home made brandy butter or cream.

Wild caught smoked salmon to start. Home reared turkey, goose shot by oh, home grown veg except the potatoes. Stuffing and gravy from M&S.....mmmmm can't wait.

Oh and dogs all getting a raw turkey leg each!
