Birds..

Just wondering what types of birds you have seen in your garden this Autumn.

I used the RSPB identifier and the ones that I have seen around the garden and feeding from the bird feeder are..

Robins
Blue tits (not happy with those this year though)
Chaffinch
Starlings
Sparrows
Greenfinches
Great Tit
Crows
Magpies
Wood Pigeons and Collared Doves.

I've also heard the odd Partridge and Pheasant in the neighbouring fields and the Woodpecker has been heard - although not by me and this was in the summer.

Hi

We are lucky to have seen all those in the garden plus one you haven't seen yet but are sure to as the weather gets colder and there is less food to be had out on the fields

Goldfinch

Is that a picture you took yourself? Thats fabulous! I haven't seen then but I'm sure they've been around - I saw them last year. Not really a bird watcher but when I was little I went fishing with my Dad so I can tell lots of birds apart and lots of fish apart.. Dogs are my thing.

I love photography - if I had a better camera (and could afford to) I'd definately take it up..

We dont get any in the garden here apart from pesky woodies. We used to get loads at the caravan because it was rural, everything from dunnocks and robins to long tailed tits, various finches (goldies, chaffies and greens) and even spotted woodpeckers.

I've got a soft spot for dunnocks and I think goldies are beautiful. I envy anybody who has bullfinches in their garden as they are gorgeous!
