Leanne, so sorry I missed this last night but greatly relieved to see that dear old Bailey is a bit better. You know I have a soft spot for him because of his blindness.

I hope the x-rays prove that it was only something he ate and he recovers OK sitting through the night waiting for a phone call and hoping it doesn't come must have been an ordeal for you too. At least you have an 'emergancy vet' there are none where we are

Sending you all the vibes we can muster

Thanx guys It's so good to be able to come on here and have people understand what you go through with your dogs without having to hear the 'it's only a dog ' line

Just spoken to the vet - had new xrays, nothing definate shown up but his stomach is massivley extended with gas so they're going to put him under, tubate him to release the gas and then go in for a looksee

Last night in my 'Omigod he'snotwellgottogethimtothevets' panic, bloat crossed my mind especially with my brother losing his Leonberger to it recently I know it usually happens much quicker however. . . . .

So I'm now sat waiting for the vet to call again to let me know what they've found and that he's ok - guess it'll be tomorrow before I can see him again I just hate that he's there and I'm here All he wants when he's poorly (and mostly another time) is some mummy hugs.

Phew - he's out of anesthetic ok

Gotta go pick him up and take him back to emergency vets at 7pm for overnight observation as the vet that lives in the practice and does overnights is on holiday - typical!!

Still don't know what was wrong, vet wants to speak to me when I get there

But he's OK, that's all that matters

Now to fashion a ramp for the car for him hmmmmmmm got glue, hammer, nails and wood - this could be intersting

Aww, Leanne,

I am so sorry to hear about your time and a half with your poor Bailey.

I've been on nights, so not been on recently. Finished them now.

It is a relief to hear that he has got over the anaesthetics, and sounds as if he is out of the woods

Hopefully the vet has a little more reassuring news when you go in and speak with him.

Lots of healing vibes and slobbery kisses from me Molly & Mindy
