im no fan of medivet or chains of vets, but im with c&d on this one

it has to do with ratings rather than content..it will be filmed deliberatly to shock and pull on heart strings.

Exactly, I agree with you both. So what will be achieved by watching it I wonder?

I must admit I'm a wimp and I know I will be in floods, I was crying just watching the link Azz posted, but is there anything to be achieved from watching it?

Just to note though I have no issue with anyone choosing to watch it ;o)

So will the programme have footage of good practice to balance the bad?
Will it have guidelines, and ways you can make sure your vet is reputable?
Will it reassure Mrs Bloggs at home worrying about little Tiddles and looking for an excuse not to take him to the vet?
Will it make it clear that these are exceptions?
Will it pass all its footage on to the police and protect the whistleblowers?
Will it *%$&

I was going to register Juke with Medivet but I've been researching vets and speaking to some friends and they advised me not to touch Medivet at all.

My friend took one of his Corgis to Medivet when she had an injury to her eye, they gave her eye drops which ended up blinding her!

He took her to another vets and they could have healed it and she would still have her sight.

Not sure if i'll watch the programme or not.

Westie, not picking on you I promise, just really want to know what you think you will gain from watching it. It's important to me to know.

I'm not a fan of chain vets either and we've never used one. Instead we us a private, local practice who are amazing souls.

It's a programme about what has went on at this particular vets practice. They need outing and I'm glad this woman went undercover and did so.

I think those with enough common sense will realise that not all vets are like this one and the vast majority of vets are really good and we needn't worry too much.
