I'm afraid ginger eyebrows cut no mustard when you are a large, short haired dog, you are still a killer in the general publics eyes, esp if those eyes belong to a taboid journalist.

Ginger eyebrows in a smaller breed however, just mean you are 'cheeky'.

In fact some small breeds are blessed with such 'cheekiness' they are allowed to hang off your ankle when they run up to you off lead, with their owners just laughing, safe in the knowledge that you won't mind, what with the dog being small and 'cheeky'.
Try that with a rottie.

However, some large dog owners buck the trend and smile at those people passing in total fear, enabling them instantly to stop and say hello and greet the dog appropriately.
(Tried this today and it works! lol)
Just realised, perhaps it's the owners they are scared of!

The invisible dog - Now this is the strangest dog of all.
Stranger still because only it's owner knows it is an invisible dog.
You'll be able to spot one easily, although thankfully they are becoming rarer than years ago.

Just watch the dog as he is walking along the road, as soon as he stops to have a poop a strange thing happens, his owner is unable to see him.
In fact, it's almost as if they never had a dog at all as they look round whistfully.
Perhaps this dog emits some strange memory gas, who knows.

Luckily though, the effect is short lived, because as soon as they have put enough distance between themselves and the offending poop, the dog becomes visible again, the owner suddenly remembers they had a dog and they carry on as if nothing has happened.

Years ago you could see traces of white poop on the pavements, a sure sign that an invisible dog had been in the area.

You know what? You can make the owners see their invisible dogs, just shout and pass them a poop bag..... suddenly the dog is visible! Though you have to keep watching as sometimes amnesia takes over as they walk up the road and the bag flies off their finger into the hedge!

Irish Wolfhound
A dog bred for hunting wolves and will grow into a horse, that will eat a lot, whilst young resembles a gangly looking dinosaur type creature with hair.

Newfoundland

Black St Bernard. Created by crossing a bear with a horse. You can put a saddle on them and they cost a fortune to feed. Need no exercise at all. Or grooming. Great babysitters so you can leave them to mind the kids while you go down the pub. Also come in hairy chocolate Lab (brown) and freesian cow (landseer) varieties.

I love this thread.
Australian Shepherd: A posh, tailless variety of Border Collie, the Australian Shepherd requires a minimal amount of exercise and does best in a home where they can be allowed to fufill their desire to have a 'job'. Arguably the best job is 'lawn ornament' as it allows for maximum viewing by the Joneses next door, who's dog is butt-ugly in comparison.
All Australian Shepherds are red merle; anyone claiming that their differently coloured dog is an Australian Shepherd, especially a black and white one, should be informed that they in fact own a Collie. An exception is those with a blue merle dog, who should be informed that he/she is actually an Australian Cattle Dog.
