wow congratulations!!! I bet you can't wait to get started!

I'm in my first year of training to be a veterinary nurse at the moment and it has to be the best thing I've ever done I love it so much and it's just such a rewarding job! You do get all the yucky boring cleaning jobs etc when you start but you get to do other things aswell which makes the boring bits so worthwhile. I get to draw up meds, pre-med animals before their ops (under supervision obviously!), help insert the IV catheters, hold the animals for blood tests, run the blood tests we do in house and get to stand in with some ops aswell plus much more but I'd be here forever

A lot of people are under the impression that nursing is going to be all lovely cuddly ainmals but it couldn't be further from the truth you do get scratched and many of the animals aren't allways pleased to see you I wouldn't change it for the world though!

I'm sure you will really enjoy it and I hope you get a training position! good luck!!

Ohh bet you can't wait, good luck.

I did one weeks training as part of my work experience from school and had the time of my life, I really wanted to become a Veterinary Nurse but was wrongly advised as to which qualifications I needed to get so never persued it

It is one of the big regrets I have in life, you go for it girl, I am sure you will never look back. Having a job you love is worth its weight in gold:smt002
