Pamper your Pooch

Excited to tell you about this place called Wag Hotels which is opening in San Francisco, CA. I happened to come across their waghotels.com . They're having a grand opening on 12th and 13th May. They have prizes, discounts on reservation and great give-aways for dog and cat owners. Hoping that my buddy will have a great time here.

Mmmm dont think so! An interesting excerpt from their small print:

Owner understands that Wag Hotels utilizes playgroups where dogs interact and co-mingle. Squirt water bottles, citronella spray, and citronella bark collars may be used for correction. In extreme cases dogs may be muzzled for their protection or the protection of other dogs or staff or for excessive barking.

and...
even if the Pet is seriously injured, Wag Hotels’ staff may wait and
notify Owner when the pet is picked up by or delivered to the Owner.

This one states:
Owner acknowledges and is aware that the employees of Wag Hotels are not veterinarians and do not have backgrounds in animal medicine and are not expected to diagnose or detect illnesses in the pets that are staying at a Wag Hotels' location but on the site says that staff are fully qualified to give and administer any medication, a touch contradictory me thinks. You would of thought that even the most basic of staff could recognise when an animal was ill!!

Sounds fab eh!

It's not that easy to digest this piece of information. Because Wag is spending so much to give pets a better home away from home. It's a luxury hotel and I'm sure they can afford a vet to check up the sick pets. To be spending so much to build an extravagant hotel for pets. I have evidence to believe they really love pets.

They muzzle only in extreme cases, not always. It's natural for a dog to bark. I mean why would anyone do that, muzzle just because your dog barks. For all the services they offer when compared to kennels, I love Wag Hotels.
