Nippy the Lurcher always went to work with my hubby and would often climb the ladder herself to be with her Dad on the roof.
She was never encouraged or taught to do this, it was something she did of her own accord.
She was always very sure footed and never came to any harm.

I do not think taking dogs to work here would be looked on favourably, but at times children were taking to work.

The classic was one of our pharmaceutical salesmen - a very tall and very solidly built man, bringing his baby daughter - who promptly crawled about the place as if she owned it!

My dad used to take my old dad to work if he had to do a bit of paperwork - pc and he was trusted to be allowed off lead throughout the whole of the hq.

I hope you mean dog, and that you didn't keep your grandfather on a lead!

I take my dog on chair lifts in the winter season.
My first dog Mont used to jump onto the chair while it was moving.
Jed is small enough for me to pick up and sit down with, but he doesn't sit there all day though!!!!
I'd be more be more worried by sun ( ahh don't get that much there tho )

I would never inflict the children I work with on my dogs.
