It's a Hoover Constellation vacuum cleaner
it's shaped like a large ball and floats on it's own air cushion like a hovercraft, ours is 45 years old, hows that for value.

I have to admit I like to get the most use out of something before I bin it.I'll have to post a pic of the Constellation later, methinks they could come back into fashion.
