Cost of Importing from Canada or America?

Hey,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what sort of cost is involved in importing a dog from America or Canada. We've been able to find plenty of information about importing and the rules and regulations, but airlines dont seem so keen to talk about their prices

Someone on here imported one, but unfortunately it had to go back, i'm sure they were talking about thousands

my aunt took two to newzealand and it cost them £4000 was cheaper for the second dog

I have actually got all that info but just wanted to find out what sort of cost we'd be looking at before deciding if it will be an option but if it is in the thousands then its not!!
