A home for Rose

has anyone read jon katz, 'a home for Rose'? im reading it just now, ive just started but so far its really good. i read 'a dog year' last summer and really enjoyed it. i wanted to quote some really good bits from 'a home for Rose' but not sure if im allowed...

Yep, got both books on my bookshelf. 'A Home For Rose' made me think about Jed because he has a dog which he rehomes because it isnt happy for various reasons. It all rang completely true about Jed and it's still something I often think about.

Hope i've not given too much away but it is a book which makes you think.

Not read that one. I still haven't got through "Angel Dogs" I seem to get grit in my eyes at the end of each story!

aw, that makes me want to read it all so i can find out im just glad he says at the beginning that no dogs die in it lol.

I have read both a home for Rose and dog year, just finished 'a good Dog' all about Orson (originally Devon) and it was really sad and touching. Jon Katz has a new book coming out soon, I think its called Izzy and Lenore.

I have Angel Dogs too but I didnt find that one interesting so gave up after a few chapters!

I've read all three of Jon Katz books they are fantastic but warning if you read "a good dog" ....i cried buckets
