I don't agree with breed specific legislation.

Not because I think it's all in how they're raised (nature and nurture both contribute, that is a fact), but because it's been proven ineffective. The numbers don't lie - BSL doesn't reduce dog bites, and it causes a lot of heartbreak.

Instead, I think more education is necessary. People should know how to read body language before they acquire a dog, and everyone, pet owner or not, should know how to force a dog to release its bite.

Dog attacks will always happen - we need to be capable of dealing with them.
