Mine like the fan not directly on them but they like the breeze, they have then normal - ice cubes in water, water, shade, fans, lying on cool ceramin tiles - neither will go in the paddling pool - but they do like sleeping in the living room with the fan on the coolest part of the house.

Well muy 2 are depressed, doubt they will be getting this evening walk.
Where we go, is all round the fields, and woods, and up by the farm, and one it stinks of manure, 2 all the midges will be out, 3 it is still TOO hot.
I took them out this morning, and they had a swim in the river, they will be fine till tommorow afternoon, cant do the morning, busy, ah well, tommorow afternoon, i will just take them extra long, off the lead all the way, and might take them to the slough, to thats usually fun.
best wishes

If you dont want to hold the hose and prefer to sunbath with a cool drink, you could buy one like this (about £3) and let the dog cool (and exercise) themself:

I have a wal-mart childs wading pool, which I use for the bulldogs. However they stay inside most of the time anyway. But they do enjoy getting out in the shallow pool. Most Bulldogs can't swim and can easily drown, so it has to be kept shallow. But they love it. I have seen bulldogs swim and some do, but it always scares me to death when I do see it. My shih tzu is to prissy. He doesn't even want water to touch him..lol. But he stays inside also.
