Won't eat day old chicks

Got some day old chicks from Berriewoods (glad I only got a small pack not a whole box!). I thought Cain would enjoy them, generally he eats anything. But he refuses to eat these. He sort of wants them....kept trying to carry them around the house and hide them in his bed but he didn't seem to manage to work out that they were food. He did bite one, break the yolk sac and open it up which I thought would do it (he loves egg) but he still won't eat it. Any ideas? Shall I just offer them a few more times at meals and then give up?

Kiki isn't really keen on them, Casper loves them - jokingly offer him chicken nuggets for dinner I didn't really persist with Kiki as I only had a bagful and they were for the ferrets, but I guess you'd do it like any other food - offer in a different way - if frozen, offer thawed, or the other way around, or maybe cook it (but not sure of the best way to cook a whole chick )

This is one of the most bizarre things I've heard (lamb = baby sheep, remember!)

Ive never fed them, cant see much nutritional value in them, they are mostly water/sac. Yolk can be a bit much too.

I didn't think they contained much nutritional value either...I know when I had snakes they were just classed as a 'treat' if you really wanted to feed them as no nutritional value!
