Request for a Christmas dog tale........

My husband always does an after dinner speech at Christmas, and includes a short story. In previous years he has done Dylan Thomas etc. etc. etc., but this year would like a dog themed tale.

Does anyone know of a short, not overly sad, Christmas story about a dog/dogs please?
