Chloe has to go to the Vet!!

Hey,

My black lab isn't doing so well She has to go to the vet tomorrow for x rays. For the last couple of weeks she's been having trouble with her back leg, at first just limping when being walked so we just thought she'd stood on something. But over the last few days its got really bad and she literally cant put any weight on her back leg at all We took her to the vet yesterday and they think she may have snapped the ligament!! They have to do the x rays tomorrow and if she has snapped it she's going to need quite a serious operation with no guarantee they can fix it

I just thought i'd let everyone know whats going on as i know there a few people who seem to quite like her puppies and i thought you may want to know whats happening with their mum! And if anyone else has had this kind of problem before, is it really as bad as the vets make out?!! We're really worried about her, but fingers crossed its good news with the x ray...

Jessica

Sounds like a cruciate ligament, this can be mended but very painful after the operation, lots of rest and love. My old girl Jazz snapped both of hers (not at the same time) and was fine once it had healed.

Thanks everyone.

I guess the vets cant say for sure until after the x ray but they were pretty sure it was snapped or torn and apparently either is fairly serious...

I'll let you all know how she gets on tomorrow
