Getting cigarette smells out of jackets

Hi guys, I bought a 'as new condition' goose down jacket off ebay....and as luck wouldn't have it, it arrived filthy and smelling of cigarettes!

So according to the label it could be washed on 30 degrees, so I put it on the gentle cycle with Persil.

It is now drying and all I can smell is a sickly sweet cigarette smell which is in my opinion quite foul (being a non smoker I would think this )

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can remove the smell of cigarettes from this item?

Thanks for your help

Do you either of you know whether Febreeze kills the smell or just masks it?
Thanks

think fabreeze would just mask it. if ive been out and my clothes smell of smoke after washing them, there is an air freshner called oust... u mite have seen advert.. not specifically for clothes but i find it works a treat and doesnt damage anything, kills the odours instead of just covering them up for a while.

febreeze actually kills the smell as does oust...but like inca says air it...if this doesnt work , lay flat and sprinkle with Bicarbonate of Soda leave for a day and then hoover off...this should kill the smell
