Idea for finding a lost dog

i seen this online and bookmarked it so i could read back if ever i needed to . If this in in the wrong section could a ADMIN move it.

Not sure what success rate you would have but the idea sounds plausible

My goodness, I began to cry. All's Well that End's Well. Thank you for sharing, and Thank Goodness your buddy is back home where he belongs, safe and sound.

Lovely Story and great result. I took my pup to the forest from about 3 months old and pondered what i would do if he got lost, so easy in dense wooded areas. So i bought a high pitched whistle and trained him to come to the sound.

I only use it when he disappears but he comes immediately. I have met several dog owners searching for lost dogs and always mention training to the whistle. One day recently I found one little dog sat by what turned out to be his owners car, fortunately there was a cell phone number on his collar. When i called the number the owner told me she was frantically searching for him about 2 miles away, it took her 15 minutes to get back to the car and be reunited,.. so a happy ending that time.

What a nice man to go to the trouble of putting that together and getting it out there to help others. I'm so happy he got his dog back.

Good advice Apache. Two pips on Eddie's whistle means, 'No excuses - here and NOW'.

PS. Did it have to be a Beagle on the OP?
