February on Makenzy Beach

Spent a glorious couple of hours down on Makenzy today.

Smells good

Temperature seems OK

And they're in the water

So let's go for it!

Yeah that was good!

Time to check out the smelly seaweed

And leave my trademark!

Now home for a shower and some food!

Yes and those sunbrella poles would be excellent for a bit of 'weaving' training. Well they would if your name wasn't Bella and you see all poles as things to get your leash wrapped round!

Such a nice place. I wish we had some beaches near us we could go to, but the closest beaches are quite far

Looks like little Bella had fun. Does she actually swim? Nigredo will go into the water but as soon as it gets deep enough to have to swim, he turns back (cowardly knave!!)

Those 'stick's have sun umbrellas on them from about March.

That beach is a short walk from my apartment - the bigger more touristy one is a short walk in the other direction. But plenty of more deserted ones a short drive away. And yes - she swims like a little seal! I've got vids somewhere of her swimming. (And I once sneaked her into the pool here after dark but the idiot BARKED when I got out first so that put an end to that lol! I was ready with my (lying) excuse - some idiot left the gate open - lucky my dog didn't drown - I had to leap in to save her

Suits me very well too jantet - especially not only reading about the atrocious UK weather this year but experiencing some of it in Oct and Dec. We haven't had a winter here yet apart from one wet windy week last Nov.

Yes - didn't you see the people in their swimsuits? I wore a long sleeve Tshirt and scarf and was sweltering when I got back.
