Ovens & eyes

Had nasty experience tonight. Had roasties (potatoes) in the oven so the oven was turned up high

Everyone knows when you open the oven to hold your head back or you get a gust of hot air in your face, well i was rushing tonight, opened the oven & whoosh i got this hot air which went smack into my face but worse into
My eyes. My eyes despite washing them out with cool water are so sore & blurry.

Does anyone know can u actually burn your eyes & if so what can you do?

Yes you can burn your eyes

Bit different I know, but my hubby burn't his with welding flash....Ouch!

Thanks folk. Felt bit wishy washy for a while & whites were reddish. Kept rinsing them with cool water & adding liquid tears (have dry eyes) & not so stingy now.

I'll be a bit more wary of the oven from now on, well for a day or so
