Rosa's lump (it's back update @ post 10)

Not sure if everyone already knows this so I'm sorry if I'm repeating myself..

When we first got Rosa from the rescue (nearly 2 months ago) she'd already had one operation because of a lump on her neck. As she was an ex-breeder we thought this was why she was dumped, they didn't want to pay for it to be sorted, they just wanted money off her

Anyway, the rescue found her, and took her for the lump to be removed. The vet ran tests on it, and discovered it wasn't cancerous (hooray!) and was an infection caused by a cat biting her.

The vet couldn't remove all of the infected tissue at the time because it's in such an awkward place, so close to her windpipe and main arteries etc (she doesn't make it easy for herself! )

So he put her on antibiotics..

3 lots of different antibiotics later, it looks like it's clearing up. But after seeing the vet today, he said it's not improved enough since last week, so he's going to have to operate on it and remove absolutely every bit of tissue.

However, this should be possible now that the 3rd lot of antibiotics have taken the swelling and the lump down, so it won't be so awkward.

ALL IN ALL, her operation is on Wednesday morning at 9, and we should be able to picl her up around lunchtime. Wish her luck!

On her neck
it's been gone for weeks aswell, I don't know why it's come back now?
All I can think is maybe the heat has caused her to scratch it or something?

Anyway, I'm about to take her to the vets now, wish her luck! *crosses fingers*
