Update.

Roxy went in to the Vet School today for tests. All the staff were lovely and Roxy was a very good girl for them. She is, at the moment, slightly sleepy due to the sedation, but has had a small tea and a rabbit ear (which I bought whilst spending a few hours in Dobbies!), but she's more horrified at her shaved tum! She keeps looking at it in disbelief!

Abdominal ultrasound and chest xrays were all fine, as were all her other organs and her lymph nodes and spleen, so that is very good news. Waiting on the haematology and biochemistry results which will be available tomorrow morning at the latest.

Had a very small mass on her right side checked too, so hoping that is just fatty cells like she thinks is it.

She's going in on Thursday to have it removed. Due to where it is, they will have to stretch a flap of skin from her upper leg, down over the bit of leg where the lump has been cut from, but they think it should definitely be able to be done.

Once it has been removed, it will be then be graded and, depending on the grading and what margins they get from the surgery, she may well need radiotherapy or chemotherapy, we still don't know as yet and won't know until the thing is out of her. However, at least we have options once it's out and that is a good thing.

She is to have onlead exercise and short walks only for around 3 weeks or so after the op, but I'm sure we'll cope.

Thanks so much, everyone, for all the kind thoughts and positive vibes for Roxy. Much appreciated.
